In the world of The 7th Guest, you are an active and mysterious entity known only as "Ego". Your role, identity and purpose is not known or explained, rather, it is experienced as a seamlessly integral part of the total environment that is the Stauf mansion. Because you are looking out from within, you cannot see yourself, but your inner spirit has a voice. Listen to it.

The house of The 7th Guest is filled with 19 devilishly clever puzzles that will test your wits and scare you out of them as well. To complete the game you must solve every puzzle in the house - only then will the secrets of the madman Henry Stauf be revealed to you.

To help you get started, you might want to check out the pyramid in the lower right corner of the Sphinx board.

Pros and cons of The 7th Guest app for iPhone and iPad

So pleased to be re-able to play this game 18 years later, still as excellent as remembered, cant wait for The 7th Guest 3 to be published later on this year.
There is an error with Bishops puzzle. I cant make all movements.
Just as I remember it. Great Job guys. The puzzles are still challenging after all these years.
The speed issue has been mostly dealt with! This is a fairly faithful port. Ive been waiting for this game to be released for months. It was well worth it. If you like puzzles, this game is for you!
This is a great port of the original; Ive been waiting for it for months. A few puzzles omitted from the original werent missed as I explored the mansion which consumed my youth. The atmosphere and great music translate awesomely to the iPhone. A must for any puzzle fan!
Very good port to iPhone and bug free. Graphics are nice, game is very smooth and sound/music is great. I was very happy to defeat Stauf on his own ground again and good news is, I solved the puzzles much faster than back in those days! Would have liked to see all the puzzles though, like the microscope puzzle (blobs), but I can understand thats porting an AI to an iPhone device might be challenging. Looking forward to see 11th hour!

Some bad moments

I was really excited about this game coming to iPhone , but its far from a good experience to actually try to play it. Issues Ive run in to in the first 10 minutes: -Audio desync -Wrecked save game (in dining room puzzle, keeps kicking me back to load screen) -Menu colors inverting and distorting And the non error related issues that make it difficult to play: -the pixel-perfect mouse clicks required dont really work on iPhone ESPECIALLY in the load screen -the zoom in cursor seems to work only arbitrarily, and doesnt come up in menus where its really needed -no subtitles, necessary gameplay info only given in voiceovers. Overall a huge disappointment on what should have been a no-brainer. I cannot play this game in its current state. Please fix this game, Id really love to play it again

Although I enjoyed the trip down memory lane, my memory of this game would have been better served not reliving it. Not sure Ill by another port and will leave fond memories just that way. FYI: piano and microscope puzzles are not part of this game - creators have used the microscope puzzle as its own game/app money grab???
Unable to play update since it is no longer supported on my 1g iPad
Loved this game when I was like, ten. Bought it on the iPad mini+retina display! it refuses to save because of poor integration with Game Center? How could it even be released like this?
This game is so full of bugs I wouldnt recommend it. Many of the mini games are unplayable. Better versions can be found.
